The Perfect Fit — Part 1: Frame
While in the midst of image selection, frame selection is also going on. What frame finishes and profiles will best fit the character of the project — the flooring, lighting, and furniture finishes, and the ambiance of the fabrics — all the choices already made before art even entered the conversation? There may be one choice throughout the building, or specific areas may call for different frame and finish styles.
That’s why we don’t just send a catalog. We start with digital images of possible frames so you can see them alongside your overall design and the art itself, and narrow down your choices from there. If canvas images are part of the selection, there are floater frames to consider in addition to a standard frame.
The frame creates the structure for the piece — it’s the container for the art, mats, and glass, or for the canvas itself.
